Welcome to Jeannene Tedesco - Dusty's Dream, Inc.For Jeannene Tedesco, her private pilot's business, Dusty's Dream, is truly a dream come true. Dusty's Dream has a fleet of five private jets and three smaller aircrafts and provides pilot services for businesses and private excursions. In addition, Jeannene and her partner provide private flying lessons. The Start of Something Amazing As a young girl, Tedesco's love for flying was instilled in her when her grandfather took her on her first plane ride. Her grandfather, aptly nicknamed Dusty, was a pilot and owned a small plane he used for crop dusting. Jeannene recalls the thrill of flying among the clouds and watching the ground fade away and how the houses and buildings look so small compared to when he was on the ground. For a small nine year old girl, it gave her a sense of empowerment as well as spending very special and treasured time with her grandpa. Through the years, Jeannene's grandfather taught her everything there was to know about airplanes from aerodynamics to the various mechanical parts that enabled the planes to fly. Her grandfather highest hope was for his only granddaughter to become a pilot. By the age of 16, Jeannene had logged enough hours to get her pilot's license. From this point forward, she knew her dream job would somehow involve airplanes. When she graduated from high school, she opted to join the Air Force instead of attending college. While in the Air Force, Jeannene learned to work on the large cargo planes as well as training to be a fighter pilot. After two stints, she left the Air Force at the rank of Major and as a very talented and experienced pilot. After being transferred all over the world, Jeannene yearned to return to her roots in Montana. She was unsure of what the future would hold, but she knew her life would never be fulfilled without flying. Shortly after Jeannene returned to Montana, her beloved grandfather passed away, and his last dying wish was that Jeannene would take over his crop dusting business. Dusty's Dream After inheriting his grandfather's plane, Dusty as well as Jeannene's dream became a reality and Dusty's Dream was launched. The crop dusting business afforded Jeannene the ability to buy a second plane as she expanded the business to pilot services to fly local business executives on various business trips. The word spread quickly and his business began to take "wings." Jeannene brought in a business partner three years ago to keep up with the demands. They have since added private excursions and flying lessons to his list of services and subcontracted with five other pilots to handle their fast growing business. Jeannene is married and has two sons and one daughter. Her greatest hope is that hr children will catch the "flying bug" and continue the legacy of "Dusty's Dream." |
